Description

ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV – a powerful headlamp with a wide beam and neutral light

It’s no coincidence that ZebraLight ranks amongst the world’s best headlamps. No frills, but refined down to the last detail. Reliable to a fault.

If you’re looking for a headlamp that truly meets your needs for power, efficiency, control and reliability – ZebraLight delivers without compromise. This is a tool for people who understand what real performance means.

Why ZebraLight is among the best in the world

  • Extreme efficiency – maximum battery output with virtually zero losses, thanks to top-of-the-range buck-boost drivers
  • High colour rendering (High CRI 93–95) – critical for working on electrical installations and distinguishing the true colours of cables
  • Constant-current driver – stable light output without dips or flickering
  • Compact design – real power in a pocket-sized format
  • Precise control – a simple interface with extensive customisation options
  • Unibody design – the body is machined from a single piece of aluminium
  • Type III Hard Anodising – approximately 2 to 3 times more resistant to wear and tear from friction in a pocket with coins or tools compared to a standard torch
  • Potting compound – the electronics are encapsulated in thermally conductive silicone for impact resistance, improved cooling and water resistance

What is the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV headlamp used for?

  • Professional use – security, inspections, technical work
  • Hiking and camping – excellent balance between power and battery life
  • Hunting and fishing – good beam pattern and neutral light with more realistic colours
  • EDC (everyday carry) – a compact yet robust tool
  • Emergencies – reliability and long battery life on low settings
  • Search and navigation – consistent brightness

LED and light characteristics

The headlamp uses a Cree XHP50.2 Neutral White LED with a nominal colour temperature of 4000K, a colour rendering index (CRI) of 93–95 and a 3-step colour deviation.

Frequently asked questions

What type of battery does the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV use, and is it included in the pack?

The headlamp operates on 1 x 18650 Li-ion flat-top battery without built-in protection. The battery is not included in the kit and must be purchased separately. The torch’s operating voltage is between 2.7 V and 6.0 V, ensuring compatibility with high-quality 18650 cells. The standby current is negligible – significantly lower than the battery’s self-discharge rate – which means the torch will not drain the battery during prolonged storage.

What does High CRI mean and why is it important for the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV?

CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is a measure of how realistically light renders the colours of objects compared to natural sunlight. The ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV achieves a CRI of 93–95, which is exceptionally high. This is critically important when working on electrical installations, as it allows for the clear distinction of cable colours. It is also useful for hunting, fishing and navigation, where accurate colour perception is of practical importance. The colour temperature of 4000K provides neutral, natural light – neither too warm nor too cool.

How are the modes on the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV controlled?

Control is via an electronic button with a soft-touch finish. One click activates High mode, two clicks – Medium, and three clicks – Beacon/Strobe. Holding the button down for over 0.6 seconds activates a cycle through Low → Medium → High; releasing the button stops the cycle at the desired level. A double-click switches between the two sub-levels of the current level. The torch has 3 main levels, each with 2 sub-levels, and the second sub-level can be further programmed by pressing the button twice six times in succession. The settings are retained even when the battery is replaced.

Is the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV waterproof?

Yes. The headlamp is IPX8-certified, which means it is protected against submersion to a depth of 2 metres for 30 minutes. The control electronics are sealed and encased in thermally conductive silicone (potting compound), which contributes to its water resistance, impact resistance and improved cooling. The pack includes 2 spare O-rings to maintain the seals during regular use.

What is PID thermal regulation and how does it work on the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV?

PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) thermal control monitors the torch’s temperature and automatically reduces brightness in the event of overheating to protect the LED and electronics. On the H600Fc Mk IV, this is active for the three highest brightness levels. The user can adjust the thermal intervention threshold themselves: by following a special procedure involving 6 cycles from Low to High; on the 7th cycle, releasing the button on High increases the threshold by +1°C (maximum +5°C), on ‘Medium’ it resets it to the factory setting, and on ‘Low’ it reduces it by -1°C (maximum -5°C). This provides control over the balance between maximum brightness and thermal protection.

What is included in the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV kit?

The pack includes: the headlamp itself, 2 spare O-rings, a pocket clip, a headband with an adjustable top strap and a black silicone holder, as well as a user manual. The 18650 Li-ion battery is not included and must be purchased separately. The headband allows it to be worn as a headlamp, whilst the pocket clip allows it to be used as a standard handheld torch.

How durable is the ZebraLight H600Fc Mk IV’s body?

The body is precision-machined using CNC technology from a single piece of high-quality aluminium (unibody design), which eliminates weak points at joints. It is coated with Type III Hard Anodising Class I – approximately 2 to 3 times more resistant to wear and tear from friction in a pocket with coins or tools compared to a standard torch. The LED board is connected directly to the body for more efficient cooling. The lens is optically tempered. The torch also features built-in protection against reverse battery insertion.
