Frequently Asked Questions

What type of battery does the ZebraLight H604d use, and is it included in the package?

The flashlight operates on one 18650 Li-ion flat-top battery without built-in protection. The battery is not included in the package and must be purchased separately. The flashlight’s operating voltage ranges from 2.7 V to 6.0 V. The device features built-in low-voltage protection that activates when the voltage drops below 2.7 V to protect the battery from excessive discharge.

What is the maximum luminous flux of the ZebraLight H604d?

The maximum light output is 1,616 lm in H1 mode with PID thermal regulation and a runtime of 2.5 hours. In H2 mode, the flashlight offers 1,010 lm (2.9 hours), 579 lm (3.1 hours), or 305 lm (5.3 hours). In low modes, runtime reaches up to 5.4 months at 0.08 lm. The LED is a Cree XHP50.2 Neutral White with a color temperature of 5,000K and a CRI of 93–95.

Is the ZebraLight H604d waterproof?

Yes, the headlamp is IPX8 waterproof, which means it is protected against submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. Additionally, the electronics are sealed with thermally conductive silicone (potting compound), which provides extra durability against drops and better cooling. The kit also includes 2 additional O-rings to maintain the seal.

How do you operate the ZebraLight H604d, and is the interface complicated?

Control is via a single electronic button with a soft-touch coating. One click turns on High, two clicks turn on Medium, and three clicks turn on Beacon/Strobe. Holding the button down for more than 0.6 seconds activates the Low → Medium → High cycle. For advanced users, advanced level programming is available via double and triple clicks. The settings are retained even when the battery is replaced. The flashlight has three mode groups: G5 (factory setting), G6, and G7, each with the option for full brightness customization.

Why is a high CRI important for the ZebraLight H604d?

A Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 93–95 means that the light from the H604d renders colors very close to those of natural daylight. This is particularly important when working on electrical installations, where it is necessary to accurately distinguish between the colors of the cables. It is also useful for hunting, fishing, and hiking, where realistic color perception improves orientation and performance in the dark. The neutral color temperature of 5000K provides pleasant, eye-friendly light.

What's included in the ZebraLight H604d package?

The set includes the headlamp itself, 2 additional O-rings, a pocket clip, and a headband with an adjustable top strap and a black silicone holder. The 18650 Li-ion battery is not included and must be purchased separately. The pocket clip allows you to carry the flashlight as an EDC tool, while the headband turns it into a full-fledged headlamp.

What type of beam does the ZebraLight H604d have, and what is it suitable for?

The H604d features a wide (flood) beam with a frosted lens and a 120° beam angle. This makes it ideal for close-range tasks—such as reading maps, working with tools, cooking at a campsite, or navigating in a dark space. The wide beam is easier on the eyes during prolonged use compared to a narrow spotlight beam. If you’re looking for greater range, ZebraLight also offers HI versions with a more focused beam.
