Description

The ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV is a powerful headlamp offering wide illumination, a neutral 5000K light and a high colour rendering index. It is designed for people who demand true reliability – without compromising on quality.

The body is machined from a single piece of aluminium with a Type III Class I hard anodised finish. The electronics are sealed and potted, ensuring impact resistance, improved cooling and water resistance.

Why ZebraLight is among the best headlamps on the market

  • Extreme efficiency – maximum energy output from the battery with virtually zero losses
  • High CRI 93–95 – accurate colour rendering, critical when working on electrical installations
  • Constant-current driver – stable light output without dips or flickering
  • Unibody design – a single-piece aluminium body
  • Type III Hard Anodising – a coating approximately 2 to 3 times more durable than that found on standard torches
  • Potting compound – the electronics are hermetically sealed with thermally conductive silicone
  • Corning Gorilla Glass – protective glass
  • IPX8 – waterproof to a depth of 2 m for 30 minutes

What is the headlamp suitable for?

  • Professional use – security, inspections, technical work
  • Hiking and camping – excellent balance between brightness and battery life
  • Hunting and fishing – good beam pattern and neutral light with realistic colours
  • EDC (everyday carry) – a compact and reliable tool
  • Emergencies – long battery life on low settings
  • Search and navigation – consistent brightness

  • Settings are saved

PID thermal adjustment (for the three highest levels)

  1. Switch the torch off at H1, then switch it back on at H1
  2. Hold the button and cycle 6 times from Low to High
  3. On the 7th (or subsequent) cycle, release the button:
    • On High: +1°C (up to a maximum of +5°C)
    • On Medium: returns to factory setting
    • On Low: -1°C (up to -5°C maximum)

Mode groups

The torch has 3 mode groups: G5 (factory setting), G6 and G7.

  • 5 clicks from OFF: G5
  • 6 clicks from OFF: G6
  • 7 clicks from OFF: G7

The selection is retained when the torch is switched off and when the battery is replaced.

General rules (for all groups)

  • H = H1 or H2
  • M = M1 or M2
  • L = L1 or L2
  • From OFF: 1 click → High / 2 clicks → Medium / Hold → Low → Medium → High

G5 (factory setting)

  • H1: 1568 lm
  • H2: 980 / 562 / 296 lm
  • M1: 143 lm
  • M2: 63 / 27.5 / 9.6 lm
  • L1: 3.3 lm
  • L2: 1.0 / 0.3 / 0.08 lm

G6 and G7

  • All levels (H1, H2, M1, M2, L1, L2) can be programmed to any of the 12 available brightness levels
  • 6 double-clicks: enter programming mode
  • Double-click: +1 level
  • Triple-click: -1 level
  • 1 click: exit

Reset

  • 3 consecutive series of 5 / 6 / 7 clicks → resets the relevant group to factory settings

Frequently asked questions

What type of battery does the ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV use?

The headlamp operates on a single 18650 Li-ion flat-top battery without built-in protection. The battery is not included in the pack and must be purchased separately. The torch’s operating voltage is between 2.7 V and 6.0 V. If the voltage drops to 2.7 V, the device switches off automatically to protect the battery from over-discharge.

How waterproof is the ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV headlamp?

The headlamp is IPX8-rated, meaning it can withstand submersion to a depth of 2 metres for 30 minutes. The electronics are hermetically sealed and encased in a thermally conductive silicone known as potting compound. This not only contributes to its water resistance but also to its impact resistance and improved cooling of the components.

What is High CRI and why is it important for this headlamp?

CRI (Colour Rendering Index) indicates how accurately a light source renders the true colours of objects. The ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV has a CRI of 93–95, which is an exceptionally high value. This is particularly important when working on electrical installations, where it is essential to clearly distinguish between the colours of the cables. It is also useful for hunting, fishing and any activity where realistic colour perception matters.

How do you check the battery charge on the ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV?

With the torch switched off, press the button four times quickly. The main LED will flash between 1 and 4 times, with the number of flashes indicating the remaining charge. The torch also features automatic dimming – from High to Medium and from Medium to Low – when the battery charge is low.

What are the G5, G6 and G7 mode groups?

The headlamp has three mode groups. G5 is the factory-set group with pre-set brightness levels. G6 and G7 allow full programming of all levels – H1, H2, M1, M2, L1 and L2 – to any of the 12 available brightness levels. Switching between groups is done by pressing the button 5, 6 or 7 times from the off state. The selection is retained even when the battery is replaced.

How much does the ZebraLight H600Fd Mk IV weigh and what are its dimensions?

Without the battery, the headlamp weighs just 39 grams. With the battery, it weighs 84.6 grams, and with the battery and headband, 124.6 grams. The head diameter is 24.2 mm, and the body length is 97.8 mm. Its compact design makes it comfortable for everyday wear and fieldwork.

What is PID thermal regulation and how is it adjusted?

PID thermal regulation controls the torch’s temperature when operating at the three highest brightness levels. To change the setting, switch the torch off at H1 and switch it back on at H1. Then hold down the button and cycle through the settings 6 times from Low to High. On the 7th or subsequent cycle, release the button at the desired level: High adds +1°C (up to a maximum of +5°C), Medium restores the factory setting, and Low reduces the temperature by -1°C (down to a minimum of -5°C).
