Manly Peak Folding Pocket Knife—lightweight, durable, and made in Bulgaria
Manly Peak is a compact folding knife for everyday use, manufactured in Bulgaria. It combines modern design with functionality and is suitable for a wide range of activities.
The handle is made of FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon)—a lightweight, strong, and wear-resistant material that is easy to clean. Combined with CPM S35VN steel, the knife offers high corrosion resistance—making it suitable for wet environments, marine conditions, fishing, or heavy use during the summer.
Blade Geometry and Everyday Use
The blade features optimized geometry—tapered before the cutting edge for easy cutting. The dimensions are well-balanced: compact enough to carry, yet large enough for most tasks.
The blade opens through a slot in the blade, allowing for one-handed operation. Maintenance and sharpening are simple, even in the field.
- Reversible clip for comfortable wearing on a belt
- Back Lock Latching Mechanism—Reliable and Safe
- CPM S35VN blade—stainless steel with a hardness of 62 HRC
- FRN handle—lightweight and durable
- One-handed opening via a slot in the blade
Materials – CPM S35VN and FRN
CPM S35VN – stainless steel
CPM S35VN was developed in 2009 by Crucible in collaboration with Chris Reeve as an improved version of S30V. Thanks to its finer grain structure and the addition of niobium, the steel is easier to machine and sharpen while maintaining high strength.
Considered by many to be one of the best steels for knives—with excellent edge retention, strength, and rust resistance.
FRN – fiberglass-reinforced nylon
FRN (also known as GFN—glass-filled nylon) is a high-strength plastic widely used in the handles of folding knives. It consists of a nylon polymer mixed with glass fibers and molded under pressure.
The result is an exceptionally lightweight and durable material that is impact-resistant and easy to maintain.
Back Lock – locking mechanism
The Back Lock is one of the most common locking mechanisms used in traditional folding knives. The spring-loaded latch locks into a slot on the back of the blade when the knife is opened.
To close it, press the open part of the hook, which releases the blade. The mechanism ensures reliability, durability, and safety—the release button does not interfere with the grip during use and reduces the risk of accidental closure.
