CPM S35VN Blade – Durability and Sharpness

The blade is made of CPM S35VN stainless steel with a hardness of 58–60 HRC. This steel was developed in 2009 by Crucible in collaboration with Chris Reeve as an improved version of S30V. Thanks to a finer grain structure and the addition of niobium, the steel offers easier machinability, greater strength, and better sharpenability.
