Description
Palfrey SRM 135-GJ Folding Knife – EDC knife with a Frame Lock and 14C28N steel
The SRM Palfrey is a premium folding knife from the 135-GJ series, designed for everyday carry (EDC). It combines durability, precision craftsmanship, and sophisticated design in a compact package.
Blade made of 14C28N steel
The blade features a versatile drop-point shape and is made of 14C28N stainless steel. It offers exceptional sharpness, good corrosion resistance, and is easy to maintain.
- Blade length: 83 mm
- Blade thickness: 2.6 mm
- Hardness: 57–59 HRC
The sharpening was performed using a cooling process that preserves the steel's hardness and ensures a sharper and more durable cutting edge.
G10 and stainless steel handle
The handle combines textured G10 material with polished stainless steel. This ensures a secure grip during use and a stylish appearance.
- Invisible Flipper – quick and smooth one-handed opening
- Deep carry tip-up – discreet pocket carry with the option to change the position
- Lanyard hole – customization with a cord or strap
Hinge with a ceramic ball bearing
The built-in bearings are made of ceramic and hard phosphor bronze. They ensure smooth opening and proper centering of the blade with every use.
Frame Lock – Reliable and Secure Locking Mechanism
The Frame Lock is one of the most secure locking mechanisms for folding knives. The locking spring is thicker and stronger than that of the classic Liner Lock.
When the knife is fully open, the spring slides inward and prevents the blade from closing accidentally. To release it, simply press the spring to the side with your thumb. The knife can be closed with one hand without changing your grip. A built-in stainless steel insert protects the mechanism from excessive reverse pressure.
What is the Palfrey SRM 135-GJ suitable for?

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of steel is used in the SRM 135-GJ Palfrey?
The blade is made of 14C28N stainless steel with a hardness of 57–59 HRC. This steel offers a good balance between sharpness, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance. It is suitable for a variety of tasks—from precision work to more demanding outdoor activities. The blade was sharpened using a cooling process, which preserves the material’s hardness and extends the life of the cutting edge.
How does the Frame Lock mechanism work on this knife?
A Frame Lock is a locking mechanism in which a side spring, built into the handle itself, slides behind the blade when it is fully opened and secures it firmly in place. Unlike the Liner Lock, the spring in a Frame Lock is thicker and stronger, making it more reliable under load. The lock is released by applying pressure with the thumb to the side. The knife can be closed with one hand without changing your grip. A built-in stainless steel insert protects the mechanism from excessive reverse pressure.
What is Invisible Flipper, and how does it make it easier to use?
Invisible Flipper is an opening system in which the flipper is hidden within the knife’s profile and does not compromise its compact design. It allows for quick and smooth one-handed opening with a press of the index finger. Thanks to the ceramic ball bearing in the hinge, the blade moves smoothly and is properly centered with every opening. This combination makes the knife comfortable for everyday use.
How do you wear the SRM 135-GJ Palfrey?
The knife features a deep carry clip with a tip-up orientation. The clip allows for discreet carrying in a pocket, with only a small portion of the handle remaining visible. The clip’s position can be adjusted according to the user’s preference. There is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle, through which a cord or strap can be threaded for additional customization.
What is the handle of the Palfrey 135-GJ made of?
The handle combines textured G10 material and polished stainless steel. G10 is a durable and lightweight composite material that provides a secure grip even in wet conditions. The stainless steel adds strength and a sophisticated look. This combination makes the knife both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
What types of activities is the SRM Palfrey suitable for?
The knife is designed for everyday carry and general-purpose use. It is suitable for opening packages, cutting materials, and small tasks at home or at work. It can also be used for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and hunting. The drop-point blade shape makes it a versatile tool for a variety of situations.
What are the dimensions and weight of the SRM 135-GJ?
The total length of the knife is 194 mm. The blade is 83 mm long and 2.6 mm thick. The knife weighs 113 grams. These dimensions make it compact and convenient for everyday carry, without being too heavy or bulky in your pocket.
