Dulotec K265 Folding Knife — Lightweight, Durable, and Convenient for Everyday Use

The Dulotec K265 is an everyday folding knife designed to be both compact and functional. The handle is made of G10—a durable composite of fiberglass and resin—and is textured for a secure grip. The liners are made of polished stainless steel with cut-out holes to further reduce weight.

The knife features a reversible belt clip for deep carry. It can be opened with one hand—using the Flipper or Front Flipper mechanism.

Blade made of D2 tool steel

D2 steel is known for its excellent wear resistance. This is due to the combination of chromium, carbon, vanadium, and manganese in its composition. Knives with D2 blades are suitable for abrasive cutting and are hardened to 60–61 HRC.

Liner Lock mechanism

The Liner Lock is one of the most common locking mechanisms used in folding knives. A side spring on the inside of the handle holds the blade securely in the open position. To close the knife, press the spring to the side with your thumb—this can be done with one hand, without changing your grip.

Front Flipper – quick and easy to open

The Front Flipper is a tab that resembles an extension of the blade's spine. It opens with a sliding motion of the thumb. Its surface is slightly ribbed for better grip and easier handling.

Built-in bearings for smooth operation

The bearings are made of hardened steel and phosphor bronze. They ensure smooth opening and proper centering of the blade with every use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of steel is the blade of the Dulotec K265 made of?

The blade is made of D2 tool steel, hardened to 60 HRC. D2 is characterized by high wear resistance due to its chromium, carbon, vanadium, and manganese content. This steel is particularly well-suited for abrasive cutting and retains its sharpness for a long time with regular use. Maintenance and sharpening are easy with proper care.

What is G10, and why is it used for the handle?

G10 is a composite material made from fiberglass and resin. It is extremely strong, wear-resistant, and ranks among the most durable materials for knife handles. The grooved finish prevents the knife from slipping in your hand, even in wet conditions. The material is lightweight and flexible, contributing to the knife’s overall light weight.

How does the Liner Lock mechanism work on the Dulotec K265?

The Liner Lock uses a side spring on the inside of the handle. When the blade is fully extended, the spring slides inward and holds it securely in place. To close the knife, press the spring to the side with your thumb, which releases the blade. The entire process can be performed with one hand, without changing your grip—convenient for tasks that require both hands.

What is the difference between a "Flipper" and a "Front Flipper" on this knife?

On the standard Flipper, the tab protrudes from the spine of the blade and is activated by pushing backward. On the Front Flipper, the tab is positioned further forward, and the blade opens with a sliding motion of the thumb. Both methods allow for quick one-handed opening. The Dulotec K265 supports both methods, giving the user flexibility.

How much does the Dulotec K265 weigh, and what are its dimensions?

The knife weighs 94 grams, making it lightweight enough for everyday carry. The blade is 80 mm long and 3 mm thick. When closed, the length is 105 mm, and the total length when open is 188 mm. The handle is 13 mm thick. These dimensions make it compact, yet large enough for most everyday tasks.

What are the bearings in the Dulotec K265, and what is their function?

The built-in bearings are made of hardened steel and phosphor bronze. They ensure smooth and easy opening of the blade with every use. Thanks to them, the blade is always properly centered in the handle. The quality of the bearings directly affects the knife’s durability and precision.

How do you wear the Dulotec K265, and does it come with a belt clip?

The Dulotec K265 is equipped with a reversible belt clip that allows for deep carry. The reversible clip means it can be mounted on either side, depending on the user's preference. Deep carry hides the knife almost entirely in a pocket or on a belt, while keeping it easily accessible. This is a convenient solution for everyday use.
