D2 tool steel
D2 steel is characterized by high wear resistance. This property is due to the combination of chromium, carbon, vanadium, and manganese in its composition. D2 knives are among the best for abrasive cutting compared to other steels on the market. It is hardened to 60–61 HRC.
Micarta – handle material
Micarta is a high-quality material made from flax or canvas and epoxy resins. Its layered structure, completely saturated with resin, makes it exceptionally durable and rigid. The handle does not break or chip easily, regardless of the load.
Bearings
The built-in bearings are made of hardened steel and phosphor bronze. They ensure smooth and easy opening of the blade, which is always properly centered.
Liner Lock – locking mechanism
The Liner Lock is one of the most common locking mechanisms used in folding knives. Its main component is a side spring located on the inside of the handle. When the knife is fully opened, the spring slides inward and holds the blade securely in place.
To release it, simply press the spring to the side with your thumb. The knife can be closed with one hand without changing your grip—which is convenient when your other hand is occupied.
Flipper – one-handed opening
The flip mechanism uses a tab on the spine of the blade. It has a slightly textured surface for better grip. It opens with a sliding motion of the index finger—quick and convenient.
Advantages of the Flipper Mechanism
- Ease of Use
- One-handed opening
- Quick blade deployment
- A streamlined profile for a better user experience
